Q: Can the Magicard Rio Pro 360 Xtended print onto access control cards?
A: We don’t recommend using the Rio Pro 360 Xtended to print onto contactless or access control cards, as it is a direct-to-card printer and the raised chip of such a card could damage the printhead of the machine.
Q: Can the Rio Pro 360 Xtended print on both sides of the card?
A: The Magicard Rio Pro 360 Xtended printer is a single-sided printer, so will only print to one side of the card.
Q: Are plastic cards and printer ribbons included?
A: Unfortunately not. All consumables are sold separately.
Q: Does the Rio Pro 360 Xtended printer support over-the-edge card printing?
A: As a direct-to-card ID printer, the Rio Pro 360 Xtended does not print right up to the sharp edge of a card, as doing so could damage the printhead. Therefore, a small plain border is left around the sides of the card surface, to prolong the printer’s lifespan.
